Eminence Beauty Products

I had a gorgeous facial in Fremantle using Eminence products. It's all natural and made in Hungary, all ingredients are grown in their organic farms so there is 100% no testing on animals and they use sustainable farming. Unfortunately there are a few products that contain either beeswax, milk or honey. I've made a list of the non-vegans ones at the bottom.

During my treatment they used;

Bright Skin Cleaners
Stone Crop Hydrating Mist
Strawberry Rhubarb Dermafoliant
Bright Skin Masque

The following products of theirs are NOT vegan (seems like a lot but they have SO many products);

  • Clear Skin Collection
  • Pear & Green Apple Yoghurt Body Wash
  • Naseberry Cranberry Yoghurt Body Wash
  • Citrus Lip Balm
  • Rosehip & Maize Exfoliating Masque

  • Herbal Clay Treatment
  • Menthol Rosehip Treatment

  • Green Tea & Guava Fortifying Serum

All these masques are vegan;

  1. I love these products but what about the lactic acid in them? Would that make them not considered vegan?

  2. I assume any of the ones they told me were vegan are in fact vegan. Lactic acid might be in the non-vegan ones. Or maybe their is a plant or synthetic version that they use.
    Like any brand, if they email and tell me their product contains to animal products or by products I have to believe them, and I always keep their emails as proof :)

  3. I'm wearing a Strawberry Rhubarb Masque right now! I nabbed a sample and I love it, it smells like strawberry shortcake. Thanks for compiling this list! I also wondered about lactic acid, but this cleared it up for me: http://vegtastic.net/2011/01/is-lactic-acid-vegan/

  4. Thanks for that Shannon! I'm glad it's all cleared up! I'm so in love with my Chocolate Mousse Hydration Masque and it's lasted me for over 8 months now!

  5. Nice post. And including images is so nice.
    Vegan cosmetics refer to the makeups made with natural and organic ingredients. They do not contain any animal ingredients or any by products. They have never been tested on animals neither.

  6. Great that these products are vegan, and though I have not tried specific 'makeup' products by e.l.f. I have purchased e.l.f. shadow appliators, foundation/brow/and smudge brushes, eyelash wand and curlers and have found that these items are by no means built to last. Flimsy, the shadow applicators fell apart within two days of use, and the bristles on the foundation brush fall off regularly. My hunch is that they are cheap because you are indeed getting what you pay for, vegan or otherwise.

  7. I agree, e.l.f. is all made in China and is a good option for those vegans on a budget but I'm not a huge fan either. I love Inika for foundation and powder, Manic Panic or Tarte for mascara and Derma makes an amazing tinted BB cream.
